How I got over my big Imposter Syndrome

if you have imposter syndrome getting in your way, where you ask yourself “who am I to…..” type questions, just remember that your gifts may be a lot more valuable to others than you think.

HOW I GOT OVER MY BIG IMPOSTER SYNDROME

When I first had the idea of my Archangel Council mastermind, it took me years before I ever launched it.

The dream was to create a curated group of incredible entrepreneurs, who were all ahead of me on the entrepreneurial path in terms of their revenue, teams, experience, impact or audiences.

Where they could be like a board of advisors to me, helping me scale Archangel, while being an incredible peer group for each other.

(The average revenue of a Council member is $12M/year).

So my imposter syndrome kicked in:  “Who the hell am I to lead a group of extraordinary humans like this?”

And then I had a realization that changed my life.

None of them cared that they were ahead of me…they only cared that I could get them ahead.

Read that again.

See, I have unique gifts, that I can share with the members, which in turn get them closer to their dream come true futures, faster.  So I’m saving them time, creating more freedom, and helping to scale revenue and impact.

These gifts include curation, connection, experience design, strategy, and community building.

When someone is successful, it becomes challenging to find an aligned peer group where they feel safe to be themselves, where they can ask for support, share their wins, and be vulnerable without the fear of judgment.

I’ve created an incredible level of intimacy for them.

And - I’m like a fractional Chief Dream Officer for them.  Whatever they need to help scale their dreams, I get excited to help make the connections for them.

And of course - designing in-person immersive experiences for this group is my art.  And I love feeling like an artist again.

So if you have imposter syndrome getting in your way, where you ask yourself “who am I to…..” type questions, just remember that your gifts may be a lot more valuable to others than you think.

And working with higher caliber clients, where their time is worth a lot to them, and you’re able to give them their time back, makes your gifts even more valuable.
